02012 (366) in review
During the 366 days of 2012 i managed to take at least one photo per day. This collection can be found in the set 02012 (366) and forms a reasonable approximation of what i found interesting to photograph and where i happend to be at various points during the year. With the help of the Flickr API here is something of an overview…
Most of the photos were taken in Europe (in order of frequency BE, UK, AU, PT, PL, ES, DE, AT, SG and FR with the majority being made in Bruxxel (aka Brüsel, one of ‘Les Cités Obscures’) in the afternoon or evening)
According to the tags used, greyscale (95) and long exposure (21) were commonly used (or overused) techniques. I also seem to prefer ISO 160 (115) over ISO 800 (53) and f2 (36) over f1.4 (30)
Common sources of interest and inspiration include; light (55), reflection (43), night (39), type (30), pattern (25), shadow (22), plants (20), leaves (20), decay (19) and structure (18)
Less commonly, 456 tags were used only once, 82 of which were shutter speeds (e.g 1/6th of a sec at f2.4) the longest being 80 sec at f9.5 the remaining tags range from the more descriptive “Accidental Art” and “Aristolochia Littorali” to ziekenwagens, zonienwoud and zebra chariot.
Continuing along these lines during 2013…
